For more than 50 years, School for International Training has prepared students to be effective leaders, professionals, and citizens through experiential education and intercultural exchange. SIT is the pioneer in experiential, field-based programs abroad. All programs are supported by long-standing relationships within communities around the world. SIT’s highly trained staff are representative of the larger world in which they work. SIT field centers employ mainly local citizens as lecturers, facilitators, program assistants, and other supporting staff. These host-country nationals provide vital connections and insight into the communities where SIT students study and live. The range of their personal and academic experiences enhances their commitment to fostering an atmosphere of understanding, learning, and growth for each and every student.
