Overview
This course is designed to take participants beyond the basic skills of a craft trade by providing training in three areas. Individual taking the day course is a start in the skills trades, and it is preferred these students complete the course and obtain employment.
This course is designed for those individuals who are interested in becoming a tradesman apprentice in Carpentry, Electrical, & Plumbing. This technician will work in large, medium or small industrial, commercial, and property management settings using the skills learned in school, and internship opportunities. Employers desire these skilled individuals in state government, private property management as well as corporate facilities maintenance.
Students will complete a total of 420 hours over the course of 12 weeks including a 1-2 week internship in a paid hands-on experience. Students will participate in OSHA training.

Delaware Resident at least 18 years of age
Valid Delaware Driver’s License
Social Security Card
Proof of Selective Service Registration (males only)
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Ability to pass a math and reading exam
Pass Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
Reliable Transportation
