YTI’s Criminal Justice & First Response program is designed to provide students with the skills, training and education necessary to obtain entry-level employment in a wide variety of positions. Students are trained in correctional facility security, collection and analysis of evidence at crime scenes, detailed report writing, guidelines for testifying in court and electronic surveillance equipment to ensure they will be ready to meet the demands and challenges of their future careers. CPR/AED, National Incident Management System (NIMS), HAZMAT Operations, Chemical-Terrorism Vulnerabilily Information (CVI)—Department of Homeland Security, Blood Borne Pathogens, Emergency Vehicle Driver Operations, PPCT Defensive Tactics Basic Certification, Workplace Violence—FEMA, Active Shooter—FEMA.
Students receive specialized training in:
Weapons of Mass Destruction, Terrorism Awareness and Prevention, Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training—Pepper Spray, Side Handle Baton, Kubaton
